The cabbage head is an unexpanded stem surrounded by overlapping fully expanded leaves. The leaves are usually shredded or cut away from the stem, and the stem itself is rarely eaten. Color is green or purple.
Hi Tc-er's Has anybody out there developed a transformation system for head cabbage? I have been following a protocol for transformation of head cabbage developed by a Cornell group. But it isn't working for me.

Sugar-Water Treatment: For each application of sugar-water, dissolve 6 tablespoons of sugar in a quart of water. Spray plants in the sugar spray treatment plot until the entire quart is emptied. This spray will coat plants and the plot soil surface with sugar-water.
