Larva Cabbage looper (Trichoplusia ni) Cabbage loopers are catepillars of the moth Trichoplusia ni. These caterpillars are considered to be a pest species on cruciferous plants, such as broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage, and are easily reared from egg to adult in about three weeks.

Skunk Cabbage is a large-leafed plant that grows in wet areas, especially near streams, ponds, marshes, and wet woods. It is easy to recognize, with its huge leaves rising directly from the ground.
The crops were transplanted by hand from greenhouse-grown transplants on June 2nd 2004. Super Treflan and Devrinol were sprayed and incorporated within an hour into the soil surface (2-5 cm) with a harrow just before transplanting.
