Using protein sequence data obtained from a calcium- and phospholipid-regulated protein kinase purified from maize (Zea mays), we isolated a cDNA encoding a calcium-dependent protein kinase (CDPK), which we designated ZmCPK11.
Very similar to our wild field flower, Daucus carota, or wild carrot, Ammi is a native of the Mediterranean, western Asia and the Canary Islands. Lacy white flowers are born on a flat heads in Summer and Fall.
The images are segmented to separate plant from soil. Three methods for finding thresholds for segmentation are investigated. A method to remove unwanted noise from segmented images is developed. Features of both plant shape and plant color are calculated.
