A. Cauliflower is not an easy garden crop to grow and requires constant moisture, high fertility levels and moderate temperatures. Cauliflower will not grow well where temperatures average above 75 degrees F. or where winter temperatures drop below 25 degrees F.
While many folks grow broccoli and cauliflower as a spring garden vegetable, the summer usually gets away from us before we think to put it in for fall.
CAULIFLOWER This cool-season vegetable is a close relative of cabbage. However, cauliflower takes longer to develop and is not as cold hardy as cabbage and broccoli. Therefore, cauliflower often is considered more difficult to grow. It is also fairly intolerant of summer heat and drought.
