Symplocarpus. Skunk Cabbage grows in wet places throughout eastern North America, from Minnesota to Maine and south to Tennessee and North Carolina. There is a plant called Skunk Cabbage in the Pacific Northwest but it is Lysichitum americanum, and it has yellow spathes.
